I inherited an old shotgun and would like to know exactly how old it is?

It is an old Champion made by IVER JOHNSON ARMS AND CYCLE WORKS 12 gauge single shot with a break down barrel. The only thing i can find on it is the letters CUHG stamped next to the trigger guard and on the metal on the back of the forearm. I know it is older than me and i am 48. Can't find any numbers anywhere any suggestions anyone?
